Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Coppola at coppola.upwoof.ai, operated by UpWoof. Creating an account or using the service means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. What Coppola does

Coppola generates video ideas, writes and narrates them, renders them, and publishes them to channels you create. Published videos are visible at coppola.upwoof.ai. Where you have connected a YouTube channel, the same video is also uploaded there. The generation is automated and runs on a schedule without asking you first.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Accounts are individual. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has it. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Two-factor authentication is available and we recommend it.

Repeated failed sign-in attempts lock an account temporarily. That is an automated protection against password guessing, and the lock clears on its own or through an emailed link.

3. The videos Coppola makes for you

As between you and us, the videos produced for your channels are yours. Publish them, withdraw them, delete them or upload them elsewhere. We keep the right to store and serve them so the service can function, and to display published videos in the public catalogue at /watch and on your channel's public page while they remain published.

Machine-generated work carries two risks worth stating plainly. The first is accuracy: videos in the factual genres are written from research a model performed, and a model can be wrong. Check anything you intend to present as fact. The second is originality: we instruct the model to invent rather than retell, but we cannot guarantee that generated output resembles nothing that already exists. Copyright in machine-generated output is unsettled in many places, and we make no promise about what protection it attracts.

Images you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them where the service needs to, including burned into the opening and closing frames of a render.

4. Content standards

Coppola publishes to YouTube, so what it produces follows YouTube's Community Guidelines. Adult and difficult subject matter is permitted within the classification you set on a channel. Illegal content is not, at any classification. Text you write is screened before it is saved, and a submission that breaks the policy is refused.

Five refusals inside twenty-four hours suspend the account automatically. A suspension blocks sign-in and takes effect on the next request. Published videos and channels are left as they are, so lifting a suspension restores access without anything having to be rebuilt. Write to us if you believe a suspension was wrong.

Setting a channel's classification higher raises what a video may be about. It never lifts the limits that apply at every level: the sexualisation of minors, instructional detail for real-world harm, sexual violence presented as entertainment, and real named people shown committing crimes.

5. Syndication to YouTube

Connecting a YouTube channel is optional. Coppola publishes on its own site either way.

Coppola is a YouTube API Services client. By connecting a channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the channel you connect and for whether what Coppola uploads to it complies with YouTube's rules. Access can be withdrawn from your account page here or from Google's security settings.

YouTube may reject an upload, restrict a video or act against a channel for its own reasons. We have no control over that, and a video that fails to reach YouTube stays published here.

6. Acceptable use

Do not try to reach accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with the service or the machines behind it, work around rate limits or the content screen, or use Coppola to break the law. Automated access outside the interfaces we provide is not permitted.

7. Availability

Video rendering runs on a limited pool of hardware, and uploads to YouTube are subject to a daily quota Google sets. Both put a ceiling on how much the service can produce in a day. We do not promise a particular volume, a particular turnaround, or uninterrupted availability, and we may change how the service works.

8. Warranties

The service is provided as it stands, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of error, or that generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular use.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, UpWoof and the people who work on Coppola are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Suspension and closure

Stop using Coppola whenever you like, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the content standards above, or where we reasonably need to in order to protect the service or the people using it.

11. Changes

We update the date at the top of this page when these terms change. Continuing to use Coppola after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
